About Me
Hello, I'm Luke Scholtes: the teacher and science nerd behind The Science Lens.
I started The Science Lens after being a classroom teacher for 13 years, where I taught chemistry, biology, general science, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). I loved teaching, but always wished I could focus more on the real-world aspects of science and its implications.
As I like to say, our brains are magnificent tools, but they are squishy and unreliable. Because of this, we constantly need to challenge our thinking—and a great way to do this is by using the tools given to us by science.
By creating YouTube videos on critical thinking skills, I hope to give these tools to students, teachers, and anyone else who wants to think critically using the lens of science.
